VIAGRA: CAN IT HELP YOU LAST LONGER IN BED?
Have any of you ever wondered if Viagra helps with premature ejaculation?
We will try to answer this question, dear readers and dear Escorte Suceava, in today’s post. But let’s first look at some of the common causes of premature ejaculation: sexual anxiety, stress, depression, previous sexual experiences, poor self-image, inflammation of the prostate, abnormal hormone levels.
Premature ejaculation is so common, it affects about 1/3 of men. It seems reasonable to think that if someone is suffering from PE due to performance anxiety or stress, it could potentially help them. That said, since these ED drugs were meant to do one thing, and that is make you rock hard, any benefit you experience with them would be purely psychological. One potential benefit of these drugs that may make your PE easier to deal with is the extremely short, refractory period (loss of erection after ejaculation). Which means you’ll be ready for round 2 earlier than normal. In fact, some men may not experience “down time” when taking Viagra, Cialis and Levitra after ejaculation. Let’s take a closer look.
Premature ejaculation vs erectile dysfunction
Before we begin, let’s cover the basics. What are the differences between premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction?
Erectile dysfunction
This typically occurs as we get older and blood flow starts to become an issue. Symptoms of erectile dysfunction consist of difficulty getting an erection and maintaining an erection which in turn can cause a decrease in sex drive. Erectile dysfunction can also be caused by psychological reasons. Psychogenic ED is more common in younger men. (not really rare)
Premature ejaculation
This occurs in men of all ages with varying degrees of severity. If you are unable to control your ejaculation to the desired level or you almost always ejaculate within 1 minute of penetration, you are suffering from premature ejaculation. Does Viagra, Cialis or Levitra help with premature ejaculation? Medicine is still uncertain whether Viagra and similar drugs relieve premature ejaculation as it is academically defined. There is some credible scientific evidence that Viagra, Cialis and Levitra can help men in bed with premature ejaculation. We’ll take a look at each one and see if and which one would be best for your situation.
Viagra
In 2005 Australian researchers conducted an 8-week double-blind study to see if Viagra could help with premature ejaculation. On average, the men in the study lasted 36 seconds after vaginal insertion until ejaculation without any treatment. Volunteers who received Viagra instead of a placebo pill lasted an average of 1 minute and 40 seconds. On one occasion a volunteer was able to control his ejaculation for 7 minutes and 40 seconds after taking Viagra. The researchers measured the “vibrotactile stimulation ejaculatory latency time” in the male penis as a measure of time to ejaculate. They actually measured vibrations, not ejaculation, so their times were much higher than the couples would have reported if they had run a stopwatch. That extra minute and 40 seconds wasn’t enough to get the “statistical significance” that showed Viagra relieved premature ejaculation. But there were some other effects of Viagra in this study that were statistically and personally significant for the men.
RESULTS
Men who took Viagra reported feeling more in control of their ejaculations. They reported greater satisfaction from sex. They reported that they were able to get up and down an average of 3 minutes and 12 seconds after ejaculation when they were taking Viagra.
Cialis
There have been studies showing that taking Cialis can calm you down so you can have sex longer. These studies have found that Cialis is actually slightly better than Viagra as a muscle relaxant. Most men who consider using Cialis for premature ejaculation do so because they had side effects associated with Viagra. Another reason to take Cialis instead of Viagra is that Cialis is a drug that you can take once a day at regular times. Viagra on the other hand is a drug that you take when you think your partner will be in the right mood. If “be prepared” is your motto, Cialis could be your choice.
Levitra
Levitra should be taken right before sexual intercourse and can also be useful in helping you maintain an erection after ejaculation. Levitra is a drug that works best when taken about 60 minutes before sexual intercourse. One of the same researchers who studied Cialis as a muscle relaxant also ran tests on couples who had sex after the man took Levitra. In this clinical study of Levitra for PE involving 34 couples, research reported that the average time to orgasm without treatment was less than 90 seconds. During the first 4 weeks of the study, each man was taught exercises and techniques at home to help better control their ejaculation. About half of the men thought it was enough not to proceed with the rest of the study. Those men who completed the study saw an increase in ejaculation control with Levitra.
It is difficult to determine the effectiveness of Levitra on PE considering that other ejaculation control methods were introduced in the study. However, the men in the study reported that on Levitra they usually lasted long enough for both partners to enjoy sex more. A finding from this study found that men get good results with Levitra for premature ejaculation if they take it once a day. But it works even if they take it just an hour or less before having sex and skip the pill on days they are known not to have sex.
So in conclusion we can say that these drugs born for erectile dysfunction can also help premature ejaculation.
And you, have you tried them?
